For theatre productions the director would typically send me a show description and reference material, such as art or previous posters, to base my design on. As an example, the director for Glass Menagerie wanted to reference Edward Hopper paintings in the design, so I created a custom illustration that referenced Hopper's style.

When I created these, lack of photos combined with a policy of not showing faces from stock photography, made it tricky to create posters for musical performances. As a personal challenge, I wanted to create a cohesive look for the entire semester's worth of concerts. I used a design I created in Fall 2021 for inspiration, and made all of the Spring 2022 posters stylistically similar.
